March is coming to a close for another year, sunny blue skies prevail.  Getting excited for tomorrow we are heading out Dog Sledding.....=)  I will post pictures later.

Yesterday I went to a friends house to work out with some friends then went for a wrecky on a hike, we wanted to check out, it wasn't a long hike, or like a walk on water.  We walked on the river.

The sunny weather is going to continue into the weekend.  We are going on a Dog Sled with Canadian friends on Saturday.....I can't wait....it's going to be fun fun fun!! stay tuned for the pictures.

I signed up for a Camera Class so hopefully things will stick in my old brain and my photos will improve.  I have never taken a course, I'm all self taught...thanks to my DH and the internet.

Can't believe school will be out the end of May. That will be here before we know it.

Hello, I can't believe is already March 21st....the days are just cruising by....and our day light is growing and I love every minute of it.

The only reason I don't like the night light is because then I can't see the Northern lights.  Early today I got up 3:30am, to capture the Northern Lights, not the most amazing show, but here's a picture for you.

Of course my friend tell me to text or call them when I see the lights, and I do...but these ones were short lived....=(   Also my camera can pick up the NL's way better some times, but I'm learning to know where they are in the sky.  Of course to the North.

So I have been doing some painting, I have been wanted to do some things but just haven't got into it.  I have some many ideas in my Pinterest folders I thought I better get moving and do something.  That's the thing with crafts....it all costs money.  Hard with a one income family.  I need my handy dandy sisters here to help as well.

So finally got my canning jars the other day to make my Red Pepper Jelly.  So today was the day, it's so yummy, haven't had it for a while.  I got 8- 1/2 pint jars.  I can hear the jars popping so that's a good thing last time I didn't clean the tops of the jars enough and they didn't seal....so had to give them away.

I got my recipe from a friend Amy in 2005 and found it in the Company's Coming Preserve cook book page 47, I think.

Hot Pepper Jelly

Ingredients

1. 1 1/2 cups red sweet peppers or 1 1/2 cups green sweet peppers, seeded,veins removed
2. 1/4 cup jalapeno, seeded,veins removed
3. 1 1/2 cups white vinegar
4. 6 ounces liquid pectin
5. 1 drop red food coloring or 1 drop green food coloring (optional)
6. 6 1/2 cups sugar

Directions

1. Combine peppers& vinegar in a food processor, blend until smooth& pour into a large pot.
2. Add sugar, Heat on medium-high heat, stir until sugar has dissolved.
3. Bring to a boil and boil 3 minutes.
4. Stir in the pectin return to full boil and boil hard for 1 minute, remove from heat& skim off the foam.
5. Add a drop or so of food coloring if desired.
6. Pour into hot sterilized half pint jats, Fill to 1/4" of top.

I make the Red pepper jelly, I'm a sweet girl....love my sweets.

So yesterday I went Cross Country skiing for the first time, it was a beautiful day, just need one pair of pants and a sweat shirt.  I even had may gloves off.

We still have snow on the ground but things are melting and making an icy mess of parking lots, side roads, side walks...etc.

Last week was spring break here, they call it March break here, because spring isn't  around the corner yet.  In the car with the sun shining in it feels like it though....=)  Our house is getting sun in the after noon at the front of the house but not at the back until later in the day.  We still have a Mason Glacier in the driveway.  It's slowing melting, but freezes again in the night, so makes it really slippery in the driveway.

I have been doing some crocheting made a few hats, and have lots of ideas, but not enough time or money to make everything.  I have been working on a new sock money hat for my daughter, her old hat is to small.

I think my most popular hat is the SOCK MONKEY .... =)

Spring Break

March 8th ..... time is flying by....two months left of school, hard to believe....We are sticking around this year for march break, dog sitting for a friend, while their family is in Florida, visiting Mickey Mouse.  The dog is following me around and wont leave my side.  I think he has a bit of family separation anxiety going on.

Friday the kids had school off as well.  I went to a garage sale....it's at one of the churches here, and every second Friday and Saturday they have it.  It's pretty much name your price....I have found many of great deals....why pay full price when you can buy second hand!!!
