Happy Hump Day!!
It’s been awhile, DH (Husband) has been on a cancer journey. So that’s been keeping us busy. He started a blog to share his journey- https://carlislemason.blogspot.com/?m=1
Our days are getting shorter, as Winter 2021 draws near, we have had heavy frost. We had to be away from home, while doing my husbands 30 radiation treatments, so it’s nice to be home and healing.
I have been doing my crocheting and of course Family Genealogy. Hubby has been healing, practicing his guitar and spending time on his computer.
Heard we should be Christmas shopping, before the shelves are bare, there maybe a lot of things not delivered because of COVID.
Yes, COVID is still here, we are in the 4th wave, so happy we doesn’t have to visit the hospital as much any more, sick people are at the hospital. Masks are mandatory, and so eat out and go to hockey games, etc you need to show your vaccine status.
Halloween is this Sunday, I wonder how many trick or treaters we will get this year.
As many know, Christmas is my thing (holiday) think that was started with my Mom and maybe her Mom. Love our traditions growing up, I try to keep things going being away from family and we have make a few new ones along the way. Miss the good old days !!
I’m planning a baking video day, next weekend with my sister and grandma, and maybe my Mom. We are going to make our families Christmas pudding, my Grandma has been making it for 50 or so years. I never liked it as a kid but it’s tradition and the Carmel sauce is the best, it’s a very rich dessert. I also bought butter to make shortbread. It needs to be made early, but really I love it made early or the day of….yummy! I have a list of Christmas baking, but with just the two of us at home, I make less. Hubby isn’t eating to well now, but hopefully he will be eating treats soon.
Well, just wanted to add an update, to say I’m still around just busy. Hope you are all keeping well, take care xo
