Hello everyone, so I have decided to post some of my most used recipes, because if I'm away from my house and want to bake or cook my favorite recipes I will have them or you can look for them here. This came up at Christmas when we traveled to Hawaii and someone wanted a recipe my sister had given me may years ago.

We will start with Baking my favorite....=)
Baking
Everyday cookies:
Family Favorite this cookies. You can't just eat one.....=)
Toffee Bars from a recipe book from when I was a kid So EASY and good.
1 cup Butter, softened (hard margarine)
1 cup Brown Sugar
1 tsp vanilla
mix together then add
2 cups flour
Blend with mixer
then add
1 cup Choc Chips
stir in with a spoon.
Prepare cookie sheet with edges, lined with tin foil,
pour cookie mix onto pan and spread evenly all around, then press this your hands.
Bake at 350 for 15 min or until brown.
Cut well warm, cool on rack left in pan.

Love these one because they make a big batch and you can add or choose what you want to add.
I do not add walnuts but add choc chips instead. Some times I don't add the raisins becasue some people dont' like them...=)
Christmas baking:
Sugar Cookie From my sister Leanne 350-375 for 12 mins or until brown
1cup Butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
Mix together with the mixer
add 1/3 cup milk
in another bowl combine dry ingredients
3 cup Flour
3 tsp Baking powder
1/4 tsp slat
1 tsp Vanilla
Mix and add to above, turn onto a floured surface and roll out and make cookies
place on an unbaked cookie sheet.
Whipped Shortbread From my Mom
Haven't made these in awhile Chadwick loves reg Shortbread below
350 for 15min drop onto ungreased cookie sheet
1 lb butter
1 cup icing sugar
1/2 cup cornstarch
3 cups Flour
1 tsp vanilla
Whip with the blender, then drop on to cookie sheet then press half a candied cherry into the top before baking.
Shortbread from my sister Leanne, from my cousins Sam's Grandma
1 lb Butter (2 cups)
1 cup Berry sugar or fine white sugar not icing sugar.
4 1/2 cups Flour
whip together with the blender, then knead place onto floured surface and cut into the shape you want.
bake at 300 for 30min or golden brown.
Ginger Crinkles~ from my sister Leanne or maybe it was a friend Leanna (2007)
375 for 7 to 10 min for softer cookies and 12 to 14 min for harder cookies, Note they harden when they cool so it's up to you on how you like them. I like mine on the harder side to dunk in my tea, kids like them softer.
1 cup butter, softened (Hard Margarine)
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
2 Tbsp dark corn syrup (I use Light)
1/2 cup Molasses tip spray measuring cup with pam before adding anything sticky
mix together
mix dry ingredients together then add to above
3 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp salt
then make into tsp balls and roll in 1/4 cup sugar, put on ungreased cookie sheet, then I push down slightly on each ball. Let stand for 2 min on cookie sheet then cool on racks.
Baklava:
not the recipe I used, but looks really good, haven't made this enough to have the go to recipe
