May 13 2015 - Last day with my Sister and Family

Today the kids wanted to sleep in, so we let them sleep in a bit.....it was the last day, so we packed a lunch this time and headed North to Hatchers Pass.

Tuesday May 12th, Grad is over, so we went on a tour of more Alaska has to offer

Heading down to Girdwood area for the day.  DH had to work and my D sister had a renta car so we headed out girls in one car and boys in the other.....Red Neck Caravan Style.....

After this we stopped at Gridwood for a bunch of Ice Cream cones......COST to Much!!

Well it was a beautiful weekend here in Alaska, today is so warm......sitting outside today and seeing all the people over at the public side of the lake just amazes me.  My neighbor said it looks like Disney Land.

So I can't believe I haven't posted in a month almost.  It's been busy around here.

So DS son finished school on Friday May 8th.  Well on the Friday he just had to show up for the Grad rehearsal, and had lunch.  I picked him up after. 
So the Canadian workers had a hockey game at 3pm, against the American workers....they all work together and every year have a rival game of hockey.....almost like the Olympics in Alaska....=)

So DH was going to play, but was flying and couldn't make it to the game, so they recruited my son and another one of the members son's to play on the hockey time.  Luckily that happened because with the boys, the Canadian team had two spares.  And you know the OLD guys need rest....=)

So while I was heading to the game my sister called and was talking to DS and I said I would call her back when I got to the arena.....I forgot......so on with the story.
So when I got to the arena, DD had called me to tell me there was Hot Crossed buns on our door step with no note....weird.....so I thought now I have to solve the mystery of the Hot Crossed buns.

So that was fine I just got into the game and forgot to call my sister back, so after the game I said to DS to make sure I call my sister back when we get back home.  DH had sent a text saying he had landed and was going to go straight home.

So after the game I said we should just get fast food.....so we sent a text home to see what they wanted, they were slow to answer and finally got the order.

We picked up Mickey D's and headed home.  Once we got home, we were surprised by My sister and family from Canada.  They had brought the Hot Crossed Buns and if DD had looked closed she would of seen Made in Canada...=)

So it was a very nice surprise for DD, then DH and then DS and I .......=)  They came for DS's Grad on the Monday night.

Mother's Day we went to the Alaska Native Heritage Center

Sunday at 10:30pm we picked up our Friends Son at the airport, as well....it great to have the house full.....=)
