End of May until Aug 3rd 2015 ~ GO!!

So I can't believe the last blog I posted was May 13th, we have had alot of Visitors this summer and lots of fun.....here it goes.......=)

May 22-24th weekend, we went camping with our Canadian Family in Alaska.  We also had Jesse(Dog), his family was visiting back in Canada.  This year there was no Cabins to rent, so we had our tent that we have and hadn't put it up in some years.  We ended up taking two vehicles, because when you camp in a tent you need a lot of stuff.....our friend ended up taking the kids bikes for us, because we just didn't have the room.   DD and I went in the Pathfinder, and DH and DS went in the Subaru.....I like driving the standard way better on the hills.

We headed out thinking the roads would be busy, but we had smooth sailing all the way to the campsite....a little bit of road construction but nothing to write home about.  We saw a Mama Moose and baby try to cross the road, and then another Mama Moose at the Campsite.

We got the grand Tent site, because we wanted electricity and water close.....Down fall the out house/wash house was way down the end of the parking lot/campsite. Not sure they planned that one out.....just weird.

We make this annual camping trip every year, we have lots of fun, and it was so warm the first couple of days and then we planned to stay longer but the cool rainy weather sent us home early.

 June 1st, My friend and I hiked to Hanging Valley....a nice 5 hour hike. it was a beautiful day for a hike.

June 6th- we had a Stanley Cup hockey party, not our team in the play offs but hockey in our blood....so we said what the heck.....PARTY!!  lol

I didn't get many pictures but the weather turned out beautiful for the no hockey watchers to spend outside .....=)

June 14th FFT (Forced Family Time) to Girdwood with friends:

We went to Winners Creek-Hand Tram hike

 Then down to Portage....we had lunch here

 Then went of the Trail to Byron Glacier.

June 16th - Another Beautiful day in our neck of the woods, took the kids and the neighbors DD up to Hatcher Pass.....Independence Mine.

June 18 2015- Been wanting to do Flat Top Hike for some time, so my friend who had her sister visiting from Canada asked if I wanted to join them....it was a hot day....OMG.....I was dieing .... I didn't end up going to the top....it was a scramble over rocks.  Lots of people did go but not me.

June 20-21 2015- Party at the White's & Summer Pub Crawl- for the last few years here, we have had the Summer Pub Crawl in Eagle River, the guys came up with it, we got our own t shirts made and everything....well this year, many didn't want to join, so we started out at the our friends, then headed out with the original friends still interested, and a few new ended up joining later.

June 23 2015-Portage Pass Trail
We have been wanting to do this hike for a while, and today was the day....it was a great hike....UP UP UP....into the clouds.....then DOWN DOWN to the Glacier.....it cleared up as we hiked down to the lake....and oh the view was amazing to see Portage Glacier.....and we saw it Caving alot....amazing...I did get some shots....remember the boat in the pictures is a ferry two story high.....enjoy....=)

 In the town of Whittier there's this building .... it's spooky looking...closed to the public....
