We are having a lazy day here in Alaska today, getting ready for a busy Sunday. DS has hockey in the AM then we have Canadian Thanksgiving with all our new Canadian Family.
It's raining again here, and I heard on the radio they are calling for more flood warnings until Monday, I think this is one of the wettest fall around these parts.
Just finished making Ham and Egg Specials (recipe from my younger years working at Union Bay Market) we had it on a bagel, so not quite the same...but yummy any how. The kids like it as well....you warm ham (the kids called it Canadian Bacon today) with butter/margarine turning until brown, then either take out of pan or leave in....I usually leave in to get crispy a bit. then crack egg into the fry pan and break the yolk. (try to keep egg from getting to spread out)....Back at the UBmarket we would us round metal things to keep it's shape, and some times I do use them, but not today, you can also add onions if you like....when egg is cooked enough flip over and continue cooking, then add the ham, and a slice of cheese ( we use Kraft cheese slices) but you can use whatever kind of cheese you would like. once Cheese is melted, transfer to either toasted bread or whatever bread/bun/bagel you would like. we add miracle whip or mayo and then lettuce and tomato....forgot I usually put on a bit of salt and pepper. I didn't get a picture because first of all I forgot and second of all, they didn't last very long....=)
I have done a couple of loads of laundry, so that's all for now, things you have to think about when you have a septic system. They aren't high on my list of to haves on my next house. I like being hooked up to city sewers....things to think about with our next posting house....=) I do like that with all our postings we get for figure out what our perfect house will be.
Well that's it for now, going to go and do some Crocheting, then make my pumpkin pie, do I make it today or wait for tomorrow....I'm on the fence what to do...I don't want it to be soggy. I have decided I'm only going to take a pumpkin pie and then some cookies, easier for people to get and easier to share...=)
Again Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone in Canada... =)
