Oct 4 2012 ~ Now Rainy Thursday

The weather man was right...it's raining here now...started out not to bad...I have to say walking home from the bus stop today I noticed....our pretty snow on the hill was gone....I guess that was a sneak peak of what's to come...but that was about it.  Don't get me wrong...is cool.... 5 degrees.

So today I spent my time, cleaning the house, doing laundry, and I made a blueberry pie, with bought pie filling and crust.  I do have to make my own pie crust for Sunday's Thanksgiving, Pumpkin pie and a Lemon Meringue Pie (my favorite) Just thinking I should hide the Lemon pie until I get the first piece....because it may disappear....not sure if it's popular with other people, but will find out.  Also I may have to find a homemade recipe for Lemon Pie, because I'm not sure I can find the Lemon filling here....I'm using a package from Canada.  Speaking of things I can't find...so I made the Date Cake, and now I can't find the Date in a package like they have back home...so I will have to look around for it....I'm the only one who likes it so it wont be missed...

Also making some more Crinkle Cookies, and some choc chip cookies.  Just waiting for the pie then I will get them under way.

Both kids have hockey tonight, of course not one after another, so have to waste time in between....This will be DD's first practice....She hasn't been on the ice since Aug, so hope she does well....there's I think 3 other girls, so it's going to be a good year I'm sure for her.

Taz (our cat) note the other day I found him coming out from under our bed, then today he was under there again.  He's a weird cat, I bring him in to bed at night, but he will not sleep in our room.  The last rents had a dog, so I was thinking it was because of that.....but now he's sleeping under the bed, but not on it....crazy cat.  I have been finding if I leave the TV on he doesn't meow as much either.
