Sept 7 2012 - TGIF

So thank god it's Friday...what a week.  Our power came on early today at 1:30am.....it was so nice to have heat and water....with our well, if the power is off we have no water....=(  Going to invest in a generator I'm thinking.  If this was winter, we would have froze to death.  our house got down to:

it wasn't that bad, I had lots of layers...not the kids...=) we had our camp stove (Colman) so we could boil water.  have to keep water handy just in case....things you don't think about.  I did use the lake water for toilets and dishes...I boiled it a lot before washing dishes.  Had to throw things out of my freezer, I didn't have that much, thank goodness.  Our other freezer didn't have anything in it, just the frig one, and it wasn't full at all.  Not looking forward to that garbage in the garage until Wed morning.....it's going to smell I'm sure.

We did go and visit new friends, Christine and Mike one night and Tania and her boys another night....so it spread out the boring cold times.....=)  the kids did play games, I did some crocheting and a couple other crafts.

So happy needless to say to have our power back on.  We are having a busy weekend, DS's hockey in the am, then a meet and greet with the Canadian spouses ....Sunday not much going on....yet!!
